The Cyphers are the hallmark moments of BET's annual Hip-Hop Awards, showcasing new talent and offering a chance for big names to stop by and share some wisdom or talk some shit. Collectives like A$AP Mob, Slaughterhouse and TDE are all featured in this year's lineup, along with some other crews assembled of up-and-comers.
Most importantly, the Cyphers were the home of the long-awaited and amply-teased verse from Kendrick Lamar, which many suspected was a shot at Drake. As it turns out, the most provocative bars may have been the ones that leaked. However, either way, it was an impressive display of technical skill. The verse is fully transcribed here:
