I clicked play on this mix, and thought I was going to be disappointed. Phonat released what is undeniably one of the greatest EPs of the year, and I thought this was just going to be a collection of tunes from that EP with a couple random tunes thrown in. This set started with the lead single from the OWSLA release, threw me off, and flipped in 10 directions. It's really a cinematic piece, and gives a blueprint of some of his influence.
