In our latest episode of Complex Individuals, Mateo reveals his favorite cuss word and celebrity crush, which bounces between Rihanna, Rita Ora and Selita Ebanks. Nothing wrong with that rotation of beautiful ladies.
Mateo also shares his biggest risk in life, and it's a risk that is starting to pay off for the 27-year-old singer. "Quitting my job in New York and moving to Los Angeles was my biggest risk," he says. "I had a paycheck every two weeks, and I had benefits. I was like, you know what, I'm going to give it all up for music, move out to L.A. and not have a place to stay for a few months. But it was worth it, because I'm here sitting with you right now."
Mateo has three upcoming shows scheduled in October at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. He will be performing on three consecutive Monday nights starting October 7, with special guests accompanying him during each show. Full details on ticket and show info can be found on Mateo's official website.
