Veteran producer Salaam Remi has been a fixture within the R&B and hip-hop scenes for some time now, working with notable artists like Amy Winehouse, Nas, The Fugees, Alicia Keys and many more. Later this month he'll be releasing his new album One: In the Chamber.
The first single from that project is the title-track, which features Akon belting out his lyrics about the overwhelming feeling of getting a girl pregnant. Either that or she's got him locked up in another way. "That chick had one in the chamber/Just when I thought I was out of danger/Phone rang and I still went out and banged her/It's all fucked up now," he sings. Don't get caught up like Akon.
With additional features from Ne-Yo, Stephen Marley and Corinne Bailey Rae, Salaam Remi's One: In the Chamber will be released September 30.
