We're not so shocked anymore.
Last week, a video of a girl twerking and falling on a table of lit candles went viral. We posted the clip, and then tried to find her on Facebook for a few hours. No luck! It was covered by everyone, and people were really trying to use the video as an excuse to never twerk again.
But last night, Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he was the mastermind behind the twerk-gone-wrong. If you're wondering why the footage cuts short when the girl's pant leg caught on fire, then look no further—Kimmel runs through the door and sprays her with a fire extinguisher. The video was shot two months ago and posted on YouTube, wihout any sort of social help from Twitter or news stations.
It turns out "Caitlin Heller" from St. Louis is actually Daphne Avalon, a stuntwoman. What's probably the most hilarious segment of the video is the compilation of news clips from various stations and shows that really wanted this to be the finale of this whole "twerking phenomenon." Looks like you'll probably have to wait until next year's VMAs.
