You may not know the name Jelacee, but you should know the group he's in, Stooki Sound. To be fair, I kind of wish this was around when we were doing our Kendrick Lamar remixes piece, as this take on "Swimming Pools (Drank)" would've charted high. The percussion on this one is intriguing, as is the bass. Hell, for a track that many would throw in the "trap" bag, this is about as unconventional as it comes. Taking the internal dialogue/chant from "Swimming Pools," Jelacee takes it into murkier territory, as if this beast is being heard from within the bottle, whilst "drank," so everything is sounding a bit distorted and muffled, although you can feel every nuance and bass blast. One to really wrap your entire face around.
