Ja Rule and Irv Gotti swung by Hot 97 for the first time since Ja's release from prison. Aside from dropping the song "Fresh Out Da Pen," as well as becoming one of the most sinewy rappers in the game, Ja has made some developments in his life. He has had some time to think, to read, and to work out while in prison, and seems to be quite calm and content as a result.

Above, watch Ja and Irv discuss the love he received while in prison, the fact that Ja may have needed the time away, and the virtues of book-reading.

Then, below, the two open up about, and admit to losing the battle with 50 Cent a decade ago. The two remember a time, during the beef, that they heard 50's "In Da Club" for the first time, which they immediately recognized as "so dope." However, at the time, of course, they could not admit that. Further, Ja talks about being on his "God flow," and that he read the entire Bible while in jail. It seems as though Ja is in a new space, and he wants this interview with Angie Martinez to be the last time he is asked about the name 50 Cent.
