Ivan Ives released a video this week for a song called "Higher." Ives is a Russian-born, Los Angeles-bred rapper and director. This song is a collaboration with producer and vocalist Aaron Marsh, who creates a spacey backdrop that relies on light piano keys and the strumming of a violin, among other instruments. Ives' stream-of-conscious, staccato flow weaves through the airy production and is given a perfect visual accompaniment with an animated video which includes clips of an astronaut gliding and a skull appearing and disappearing. The song is punctuated by Marsh's vocals gracing the chorus.

"Higher" appears on Ives' latest release, Stranger. The project has collaborations with Marsh, RJD2, and Greg Porn.
