We prepped you earlier today with a look at essential Bassnectar tracks, so now you can dive into his new release, Take You Down. Speaking on the EP's title single, the long-haired bass shaman said ""Take You Down” was put together as a summertime jam… something deep and lush and euphoric. I started it while I was on vacation, and the general theme is basically falling in love and that slow-motion feeling you get when you plunge backwards into something overwhelming, but never hit the ground. With pulsing chords, emotive synths, and heavy 808s, it’s a sonic follow-up to “Timestretch”".
The release will also include a remix from West Coast Lo-Fi, and three other original tracks, including the previously previewed and Divergent Spectrum remixes-bonus track "Color Storm," a new original collaboration with frequent collaborator ill.Gates and another, "Raw Charles."
