Zedd kicked off his North American Tour, and sadly, it’s already off to a rough start. According to Boston.com, Zedd ended up canceling tonight’s show in Boston out of respect to a 19 year old woman who overdosed at his show last night. In addition to the passing of this fan, a 24 year old woman and a man in his 20’s were also hospitalized for an apparent overdose. The victims did not know each other and detectives are still investigating these incidents.
Zedd announced tonight’s cancellation via twitter stating:
Out of respect to the families and friends involved in last night's tragic loss, the show in Boston tonight is canceled.

Zedd has previously been an outspoken advocate against drug use tweeting back in April:

While Zedd has no control over the actions of his fans, let us hope that his fans will at least take his words into consideration so that this tragic event doesn’t repeat itself once more.
