TMZ caught up with Wale at LAX yesterday, and of course, asked him about how he felt about Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse.

Wale was one of the rappers mentioned by Kendrick in the verse:

"But this is hip-hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz,
A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas
They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas
What is competition? I'm tryna raise the bar high..."

Wale took the time to respond to TMZ paparazzi about his feelings on the shoutout.

"I'd been offended if my name wasn't in that shit, so shout out to TDE and Kendrick," Wale said. "I'd of felt a way if my name wasn't in the verse, I still feel like I'm the best rapper on the planet, you should too TMZ."
