It's no secret that Flying Lotus is going to have his own radio station on next month's Grand Theft Auto V video game release. The secret has been what his station would include. Although we could have correctly guessed that the station would have a healthy serving of Flylo, we didn't know what else we'd get.
Today Flylo told Pitchfork exactly what'd be getting. New and old cuts from the likes of Flylo's hip-hop project Captain Murphy, Tyler, The Creator, Clams Casino, OutKast, Hudson Mohawke, DJ Rashad, Machinedrum and more.
Speaking on the choice to enlist FlyLo, GTA5 soundtrack supervisor Ivan Povlovich, said: "Soundtracks have been an essential part of all our games and for Grand Theft Auto V, we wanted to cover the full breadth of the modern L.A. scene. From Flying Lotus breaking exclusives on his own radio station FlyLo FM, to new tracks from Wavves and Twin Shadow to some incredible classic hip-hop hosted by DJ Pooh, through to the Narco Corridos of East LOS FM, Grand Theft Auto V’s radio stations paint a definitive and eclectic picture of Los Santos through the sounds you’ll hear driving down the freeway."
