Earlier today, Chris Brown announced on Twitter that he's thinking of retiring after releasing his upcoming album X.

The tweets come a day after Brown was sent to jail for less than an hour in Van Nuys, California in connection with his hit and run incident from May. He said, "Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album."

The 24-year-old artist also made a reference to his 2009 assault on Rihanna, in which he states, "I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18." He was 19 at the time.
