Anjuna's own Andrew Bayer moved away from traditional 4x4 house and trance beats for broken ones when he released his latest LP If It Were You, We'd Never Leave. Next week the producer will be releasing "Need Your Love" as a single with a Phonat remix in tow. Bayer's original, #11 on the album, is an expressive, downtempo cinematic track fit filled with melancholic yet uplifting piano progressions, balmy, atmospheric pads, and an innocence usually reserved for '90s buddy/pet movies. Don't confuse that for a lack of seriousness or worth, Andrew Bayer's "Need Your Love" is a refined, modern take on chillout electronica. The Skrillex-supported seven footer Phonat takes the number and dips it into a shimmering sonic soup with additional guitars, glitches and pops.
