Thus far in 2013, Chicago's 2012 freshman have had divergent paths. King Louie scored the only rapped guest spot on Yeezus. Chief Keef had a leftfield regional hit in "Macaroni Time," although it was defiantly un-commercial relative to his efforts the previous year. Chance the Rapper more than delivered on the promise of his debut 10 Day with Acid Rap. Lil Durk found success with his latest single "Dis Ain't What You Want." But Lil Reese remained largely quiet, undoubtedly in part due to his troubled past (A horrifying video surfaced last year in which he was beating a woman).

Today, though, he unleashed a brutal slab of 'reality rap' alongside Fredo Santana and Lil Durk entitled "Wassup." The song is tough enough to put him back in the conversation.
