"This is my fucking moment to say if I wanted to rap all the time, really rap, I would. But I also love to make music. I'll do this for you right now," Drake told GQ in his July issue cover story, titled "How to Drake It in America." "But it's for me, too. It's my story... I'm trying to get back to that kid in the basement. To say what he has to say. And I'm trying to make it last."
Drake's third studio album, Nothing Was The Same, drops on September 17.
After the success of his Grammy-winning Take Care, all Drizzy fans are anxiously awaiting his next project, especially after the release of "5AM in Toronto" and, the best song of the year so far, "Started From The Bottom." He's still got the summer on lock—especially after dropping four new songs in one night last month, including the remix to Migos's "Versace," the "Jodeci Freestyle" with J. Cole, the killer cut "The Motion," and his co-sign on the OVO-signed PARTYNEXTDOOR song "Over Here."
It's been almost two years since Take Care was released, and while he's kept fans sated with guest appearances on plenty of hits, we want a new Drake album. We've heard plenty of rumors, and read tons of interviews on what we can expect. Here's Everything We Know About Drake's Nothing Was The Same So Far.

Drake announced the album title while sipping from a wine glass and talking to Ryan Seacrest on the Grammy's Red Carpet.
His move to Los Angeles has influenced the new album a lot.
It's heavily influenced by Marvin Gaye's 1978 album Here, My Dear. He's still in Marvin's Room; he's been recording the album in the R&B legend's studio.
"It's so honest," says Drake, who's also been recording in Gaye's old studio, Marvin's Room. "He just puts it all out there."

"Started From The Bottom" is the only song confirmed to be on the album as yet.
The intro track is called "Tuscan Leather," named after a cologne by Tom Ford.
Curtis Mayfield and Whitney Houston are both sampled on the album.
"5AM In Toronto," "The Motion," "Girls Love Beyoncé," "Jodeci Freestyle" were released as free tracks in anticipation for the album.
No official tracklist has been released despite a fake leak on Memorial Day.
A promo video released for the album, which announced a release date of September 17, shows Drake and his team taking shots out of the Best Rap Album Grammy he won forTake Care.
Drake and Jay Z are rumored to have worked on a track called "Cake."

Tweets from Chief Keef suggest a collaboration between the two.
After the success of his remix on Migos' "Versace," the ATL trio claimed they'll be on his album.
