Two days ago, DJ Khaled proposed to Nicki Minaj through a videotaped message, which aired on MTV. The rumor mill was in full spin, as fans tried to guess if his request was sincere, or an intricate plot to unveil a new single. In an interview with DJ Felli Fel on Power 106, Khaled insisted that this was not a game.
"I just had to be honest. I always liked her. She’s my friend, of course. And I like her. It’s more than a crush,” Khaled confessed live on air. He then went on to say, “I feel like I understand. I know she’s out there hustling and I respect that. I feel like I can take care of her and not just that, she’s beautiful.”
Although Nicki has yet to respond to Khaled's request, it appears that he is prepared for any outcome. He states, “If she says no, it’s all love. She’s my friend. She might not be ready for marriage. I want kids, I want a lot of things, but you gotta be ready for this.”
Khaled closed the interview by proposing to Minaj once more,"Nicki Minaj, I love you. Nicki Minaj, will you marry me? I ain’t changing that.” So there you have it folks, DJ Khaled only has eyes for Nicki Minaj. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
