This really should be the most obvious thing here, but apparently it's not, judging by our inboxes. There's a fine line between imitating and being inspired, and the importance is in finding yourself on the right side of this and not getting copycat syndrome. To put it in simple terms: If we wanted to listen to Flosstradamus, we'd listen to Flosstradamus. There's no reason for you to be sounding like anything other than yourself. If we can spot influences, that's great, but your entire sound shouldn't be cribbed from the producers before you.
