It finally happened.
Rumors had been flying that Kanye West was filming an American Psycho-inspired short film starring his (maybe?) eventual brother-in-law Scott Disick, and on the eve of Yeezus' official release, the clip has finally arrived.
Disick obviously stars as Patrick Bateman, while Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathan Cheban plays Paul Allen in the infamous axe scene. If this spoils American Psycho for you, why haven't you seen American Psycho yet? Disick revises Bateman's rant and drops some gems about Kanye and, of course, himself:
"Hey do you like Kanye West? The early work was a little too hip hop for me and my taste, but when Dark Twisted Fantasy came out in 2010 I think he really came into his own, both musically and lyrically."
"Kanye's been compared to Jesus, Hitler, Walt Disney and even Steve Jobs."
"It should be obvious by now that 'New Slaves' is the undisputed masterpiece on Yeezus. A song so catchy, most people wont even remember the lyrics....but they should. Then there's the song, 'I Am A God.' The title practically speaks for itself, but of course, the insecurities of the mainstream music press will never understand it's true meaning, because it's about me!"
"Try getting the Yeezus album now, motherfucker!"
We doubt Lord Disick would've done this for anyone else.
Update: Bret Easton Ellis responds to Kanye's version of American Psycho:
Scott Disick's Dream Comes True in the promo that I originally wrote for Kanye's new record but not a lot was used: http://t.co/VBDMK698bL— Bret Easton Ellis (@BretEastonEllis) June 18, 2013
