As a part of a contest put together by VIBE and McDonald's, aspiring producers were given a chance to give a beat to Big K.R.I.T. The winners of the challenge were a Michigan production duo named Foreign Allegiance, who gave the Mississippi rapper this track for "What You Know About It?"
Judging by the quality of this release, it's safe to say that these kinds of contests should happen more often. An up-and-coming producer gets some exposure, the artist gets to reach out to young talent, and the fans get to hear a new song. Everybody wins.
