DJ Khaled Praises Kanye West's Innovative Marketing Approach With "Yeezus"

The Miami rap luminary says it will create a domino effect within the industry.

Ever since linking up in 2006 with "Grammy Family," DJ Khaled and Kanye West have built a remarkable track record on wax.

Sitting down with MTV, Khaled explained that he gave Kanye a number of records for his new album, Yeezus. While unsure if any of those records made the final cut, he declared Kanye's approach to marketing his new album as an unprecedented move. "I like the idea of him not dropping a single," Khaled said. "That's 'Don' status, that's boss shit."

He added, "I think you're going to see more artists do that, more big artists."

Kanye West's new album Yeezus comes out June 18.
