A Guide To Surviving Music Festivals

A Plan Of Attack

It is very common that there is little to no cell phone service in the area surrounding the stages. Have a general plan for what bands you want to see that day and a meet-up point for your gang to go to in case you get separated. Alternatively, a good friend of mine has a “rage stick” – a big light-up pole with streamers tied to it that we can easily spot from a distance in order to locate our group. This is also a good idea when it comes to marking your campsite if you’re spending the night. It can be pretty confusing to find your site in a massive grid of cars and tents, so fly a radical pirate flag or some balloons to alert your friends and fellow festivalgoers where the party is.
