Yesterday, we let you know that Waka Flocka is planning to release an "EDM-Based" album. While he mentioned Flosstradamus, Diplo, and Skrillex (among some "underground producers") as acts he was already working with, DAD realized that we've already heard some examples of what a "Waka Flocka EDM album" would be. We're not saying he's about to link up with Tiesto and knock out this turnt-up trance anthem, but if one of today's most vibrant sounds in EDM is trap, Flocka might have it easy.

Based on the remixes we've already heard, we're hoping that Waka Flocka is a bit adventurous. Don't just stick to the trap sound; hit up some dubstep producers, or even try your hand at grime. Here is what DAD thinks Flocka's EDM album could sound like.

Waka Flocka - "Rooster In My Rari (TNGHT Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Don't forget, Waka's "Rooster in My Rari" single had an official TNGHT single on it, so it's not like this would be Waka's first time riding that EDM wave. Lunice and HudMo threw just enough of that leftfield in their version to keep the Squad turnt.

THE 20 BEST TRAP REMIXES OF NON-EDM TRACKS

Munchi - "F**k This"

Not Available Interstitial

Waka's great for a chant, and one of his realest gets thrown into Munchi's sampler, and becomes the driving force in his trap-meets-bubbling banger. We're not sure if Waka could spit to the bubbling section, but an instrumental that had bubbling on the hook? Imagine the twerking going down during that part at live Waka shows..

Antiserum & Mayhem - "Brick Squad Anthem"

Not Available Interstitial

This was one of the biggest trap anthems in 2012, and put Antiserum and Mayhem on the map as a force to be reckoned with in this growing scene. We imagine many DAD readers would be happy with Antiserum and Mayhem produced an entire album of trap smashers for Waka to go ham over.

THE 10 BEST TRAP TRACKS OF 2012

Fused Forces & DJ Cable - "Flocka Riddim"

Not Available Interstitial

We're not sure if Waka's looking for some UK swing, but Cable and Fused Forces turned "Hard in the Paint" into a nasty grime number, and there's plenty of room for Waka and the Brick Squad to go in on. Plus, the "BAOW BAOW! in time with the beat? Genius.

Waka Flocka - "O Lets Do It (Heroes Villains Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

If Waka's looking for some EDM in his neck of the woods, all he needs to do is hit up Heroes x Villains, who have been pioneering that sounds for years. We imagine it won't be as dubsteppy as this classic remix, but this is another lane Waka could easily assimilate to.

MGK ft. Waka Flocka - "Wild Boy (Styles&Complete Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

The way DAD sees it, Flocka's EDM album will basically just be him dipping more into the EDM trap sound, and guys like Styles&Complete know how to satisfy both crowds, letting an MC breathe before pulling the rug from under you and letting that beat bang.

Waka Flocka - "Murda (WHITE RING Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

WHITE RING might not be known to many, but if Flocka wanted some music that fit in perfectly with what he's already doing (with just a hint of that turn up), he should look no further than this NY, NY producer.

Waka Flocka - "Grove St. Party (DJ Bassel Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

And while many might automatically assume that all Waka needs to do is turn to the EDM trap scene, Flocka can get exactly what he needs from the dubstep crowd (maybe that's why he's leaning on Skrillex).

Waka Flocka ft. RA Diggs & Uncle Murda - "Live By The Gun (HULK's Armor Piercing VIP)"

Not Available Interstitial

Or Flocka could call on HULK, who could give him a great mixture of hip-hop aggression, mixed with dubstep edginess and trap's love of 808 drums.

Waka Flocka - "Hard In Da Paint ((Bellizio Remix) Crizzly Edit)"

Not Available Interstitial

When Waka said he'd be working with "underground names," Crizzly was one that came up. He's seriously killing this sound already, and he's young enough to get geeked and really get into collaborating with Waka on some nasty shit.

The Cataracs ft. Waka Flocka & Kaskade - "ALL YOU (Kid Cedek 'ATL Trappin' Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Yes, Flocka has already worked with Kaskade and The Cataracs, and we imagine he could call on them for some more of that EDM love, right?
