In very typical TMZ fashion, the gossip site was able to flip the biggest news story today—a national tragedy—into investigating one of the suspects in the Boston bombings' musical taste.
The disrespectful attempt to associate Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed during a shootout last night with police, with the violence of hip-hop music has left the Internet in awe.
Here's what TMZ is reporting:
"Tamerlan Tsarnaev has an email associated with the website, "Real-hiphop.com." The site provides information about hip hop artists and upcoming DVD releases."
And here's why TMZ is the worst:
"What's interesting ... hip hop lyrics are notoriously violent and often degrading to women. Tamerlan Tsarnaev has a boxing profile in which he says he doesn't take his shirt off much because he doesn't want women to get bad ideas, adding, "I'm very religious." This statement is significantly more conservative than the hip hop genre."

Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.
