Jai Paul's self-titled debut album hit the Internet on Saturday. After the success of his hit "Jasmine," fans were in for a surprise when the music hit a Soundcloud account. We've questioned whether or not the album was actually Jai Paul's due to its mystery.

There have been no official statements made by XL Recordings or Jai Paul at this time.

Dazed Digital journalist Owen Myers has Tweeted that Paul has emailed him, claiming that the album is an illegal leak and that his laptop was stolen.

Jai Paul just emailed me: "I will be releasing a statement later today about the illegal leak. I have not released a new record."
Jai Paul had his laptop stolen, there will be a statement at 3pm according to @fatampnadia

Jai Paul did his first and only interview, ever, with Dazed Digital which you can read here. Stay tuned for updates at 3 p.m.

UPDATE: Jai Paul sent this tweet out today:

To confirm: demos on bandcamp were not uploaded by me, this is not my debut album. Please don't buy. Statement to follow later. Thanks, Jai
