Funkiest Jam: The Beatles, "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da"

Of course a member of The Beatles would make it—and McCartney was the bass player, obviously the funkiest of all instruments. Heavily influenced by Motown bassists, McCartney provided the low-end to all the band's funkiest records. But at least until an ill-advised dalliance with, uh, patriotism, Paul McCartney wasn't just funky as a member of Britain's most celebrated pop band; he was also an artist with numerous funky solo hits as well.

It's easy to see why he's become the most successful songwriter in British history, from his underrated Ram LP to his career with Wings to '90s jams like "Hope of Deliverence" (no, seriously). And how many artists can claim to have released songs with both Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder? We rest our case.
