A new police report has uncovered some eyewitness accounts of January's attempted shooting of Rick Ross

As was first reported on January 28, Ross was the target of a shooting attempt in Fort Lauderdale, FL when a car rolled up next to his Rolls Royce and opened fire. In an attempt to evade the bullets, Ross' car crashed into the side of a building.

It was later reported that Ross had been armed at the time.

Now, according to newly-released witness statements, three or four people were seen inside of an "older model, burgundy- or maroon-colored BMW" prior to the shooting. According to the witnesses, the shots were fired from the passenger side window.

Ross and his girlfriend, Shateria L. Moragne-el, had just come from breakfast after celebrating the rapper's 37th birthday. There was surveillence footage of the shooting, but that hasn't been made public.
