Flavor Flav, whose government name is William Jonathon Drayton, Jr., is to be tried for felony charges of assault with a weapon and child endangerment, a Las Vegas judge ruled yesterday.

According to the charges, Flav, formerly of both Public Enemy and Flavor of Love, threatened his girlfriend's 17-year-old son with a knife and pushed his girlfriend onto the floor of their home in Las Vegas, as reported in October.

He didn't speak during the day's evidence hearing, but Flav is expected to plead not guilty. The rapper faces up to 12 years in prison.
