Apparently, it is not just the New York Post that thinks Chris Brown and Rihanna should be separated from each other.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Clinton Brown, Chris' father, said that he did not think it was a wise decision for the two singers and lovers to get back in a relationship. According to Clinton, "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

Apparently, even Chris's father does not find his son's antics to be either "grounded" or "logical."

That said, Clinton went on to defend Rihanna in a way, saying that she “was very respectful and polite as well" when he met her years ago. He's also met Chris' ex Karrueche Tran, whom he says was "quiet, meek, and accommodating," and got along with Chris "terrifically."

Of course, Clinton's ideal choice of girl for his son comes from left-field. He would prefer that Chris go out with Jordin Sparks, the American Idol winner who previously worked with Chris on "Shortie Like Mine." Not sure if Sparks herself would be interested in that relationship.

Chris and his father remain in good standing with each other, so it is likely that the two have had a conversation regarding Rih Rih before. Of course, it is also pretty likely that Chris ignored his father's advice. For now, Chris does not appear to have publicly responded to the interview, although this tweet does offer some insight into what is going through the singer's head these days:

Someone asked what I wanted for my BDAY?? My reply: PEACE!
