Album: So Far Gone
Producer: DJ Screw

November 18 is the date that Drake took his first trip to Houston to meet with Lil Wayne. Thus, he offers up this screwed tribute to the city that essentially gave him his record deal. The beat is a freestyle classic from the late DJ Screw, a pioneer of those "so slow, so slow" Texas beats. Candy painted cars, purple drank, UGK, and "boppas" all get their much deserved shout outs here. But Drake shows us he really cares in the song's bridge by lifting some lines from Lil Keke's "Pimp Tha Pen," which appeared on DJ Screw's 3 'N the Mornin' tape. MT
