Once this song hit the blogs, one thing was clear: Comeback Season was upon us. The slow strums that start off this instrumental sounded like waking up in the morning from sweet dreams of the good life. There was plenty of rhetoric about being rich but not quite rich enough—but let's call a spade a spade: A rapper having art money basically means you have Jay-Z money. That's also why the most significant lyric of the song is what can only be perceived as a shot at Hov, Kanye, and their contemporaries: "I feel like lately it went from top five to remaining five/My favorite rappers either lost it or ain't alive." It was clear that Drizzy was no longer in awe of his idols and instead gunning for the No. 1 spot they occupied. IA
