One Person Dead and Another Injured in Shooting Near French Montana's Tour Bus

A man is dead and another is in stable condition at a Philadelphia hospital after a shooting near French Montana's tour bus outside a Holiday Inn Express in the city's Penn's Landing section.

A Philadelphia police officer told Complex that a 27-year-old man was shot in the abdomen shortly before midnight. He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m., the officer said. The man's identity is unknown at this time.

Also according to police, a 29-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and was driven to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in a private vehicle. He is in stable condition, the officer said. 

According to ABC 6 News in Philadelphia, the shooting stemmed from an altercation in front of Montana's parked tour bus. Also according to the report, several fans—some of whom were in parked cars in front of the hotel—had followed Montana there after his performance at the Theatre of the Living Arts on South Street. 

After the incident, Montana posted a picture to Instagram of an associate being questioned by police.

The shooting is under investigation and no homicide charges have been filed.
