Released in August, Kendrick Lamar's "Swimming Pools" offered a dark perspective on his family's struggles with alcoholism. It also spoke to Kendrick's own setbacks and the peer pressure he faces to drink more liquor.
So while MKS (Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan) aren't making light of the situation, they decided to have a little fun with the "Swimming Pools" instrumental. Out today, "Lay Down in Swimming Pools" took shape at the end of a recording session. On this R&B jam, they keep Kendrick's chorus and add their own perspective to the mix. Here, they sing: "When I lay down, you can bet/I have found where I wanna be." Stream the track below.
