For the latest edition of its “21 Questions” series, New York Magazinespoke with J. Cole about his thoughts on the Big Apple. The North Carolina native had some pretty classic answers to NYMag’s questions, most notably his controversial choice of favorite New Yorker: Tupac Shakur. Said Cole (to the likely chagrin of every other East Coast rapper from the ‘90s), “His attitude, energy, and passion is inspiring: He accomplished more in 25 years than most other people do in a lifetime.”

Amongst his other insights, Cole noted that “Cheesecake Factory has good Mai Tais,” going on to say that “they don't have [a Cheesecake Factory] in New York City. We need to get one. I tried to look into investing, to franchise, but they don't do that.” J also shared his none-too-positive thoughts on Donald Trump, his insane sleep schedule, his love of NyQuil and his attitude towards panhandlers (“I’ve seen so many hustles”). Read the rest of the interview right here and look out for Born Sinner later this year.
