15. Mobb Deep f/ Nas & Raekwon "Eye for an Eye" (1995)

Album: The Infamous
Verse: N/A
Best Line: "A drug dealer's dream."

The verse on here is one of Nas' earliest references to his "Escobar" persona, something that would come to define his sophomore album, It Was Written, and the subsequent Firm album. But that persona isn't fully fleshed out yet, evidenced by how his woman friend sports Tailor made ostrich by Chanel like the boss' girl ought to but he's still holding guns and shooting at the sky, lowly actions unworthy of a Don. Regardless, Nas was able to work out the fully develop the persona as time went on, but still the opening line here sums up exactly what Escobar was meant to represent: A drug dealer's dream.
