Last year Universal Music put together a contest asking folks to put together a cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and an accompanying music video for a chance to meet RiRi herself. A group of New York University students created the version below a couple of months back, and the video went viral.
Now, while an official announcement has yet to be made, NYULocal reports that Universal has chosen this video as its contest winner. As such, Rihanna is “expected to come in late April to host a party-style meet-and-greet with everyone who was involved in the video,” although the date has yet to be confirmed. So if you’re looking to meet the mononymous pop star, NYU in April is the place to be (and don’t forget our handy guide to winning her affection).
