Toronto locals Free n Losh have been on my radar for a long time now. After releasing a six-track EP last November (Deadhead O.G.), the boys have come back with their classic rock remixing style to breath life back into this wonderfully heartbreaking Neil Young acoustic original, "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)" and to turn it into a groovy, solid, folk-y electro house jam.

Glitchy yet groovy, the tune smartly lets Neil's signature voice shine with particularly strong guitar leads and harmonica riffs. Free n Losh have the creative juices flowing and the technical prowess to make some quality tunes, and while we're still waiting for 100% original material, we're basking in these classic rock jams.  Even the lyric sampling is particularly poignant. As electronic music continues to blow up, the ethos of rock and roll's storied past are even more relevant. Drugs continue to stigmatize the scene just as it did in the '60s, and as we prove every day on this site, Neil eloquently sings, "Hey hey, my my, rock and roll can never die, there's more to the picture, than meets the eye."
