Back in the 1960s and '70s, artists began flocking to studios in Muscle Shoals, Ala. And what would emerge from their sessions was some of the most influential and incredible music of the past 50 years. Everyone from The Rolling Stones to Etta James to Paul Simon traveled to the small town to record albums that would go on to change the musical landscape.

And at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, a documentary based on and named after the town will be premiered. Muscle Shoals dives into what occurred at the aforementioned studios and the overall impact. There are also testimonies from many of the legendary artists who recorded there, including the Stones' Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

You can watch the new trailer for the film above.
