In a recent interview with Vibe via HipHopDX, Game inferred that fans of Dr. Dre will never get to hear Detox because it will never actually come to fruition. "Detox, it's like Jesus," Game said. "Will you ever get to see Jesus? It's like a hip-hop Jesus."
Game says he believes that Dre will not release his long-rumored third studio album, Detox until he is completely satisfied with the final product. "Dre's a hard guy to please," he said. "He's so critical... If he doesn't become 100 percent happy, then we'll probably never end up hearing Detox. I'll say never."
