It's 2013 and with a new year comes new perspective. One has the opportunity to learn from mistakes of the previous year—musicians are no exception. Despite all of the great music released over the past 12 months, we got some clunkers too. From LL Cool J's cringe-worthy use of "ratchet" to Paris Hilton's ill-advised return to music, these were the 10 Worst Songs of 2012. Listen at your own risk.

10. Fat Joe f/ Rick Ross & Juicy J "Instagram That Hoe"

This song doesn't even sound that bad. From a sonic standpoint, it's on trend with what's happening in hip-hop. Where it falters is trying to stay on trend with what's happening in the tech world. Instagram is great, and a slick line about the photo sharing app is fine, but an entire song about comes off as forced-especially from a 40-something MC clinging onto relevancy.

9. Nicki Minaj "Stupid Hoe"

Look, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was unfairly hated on, but this song wasn't. It possessed none of the pop charm of records like "Starships" and "Pound The Alarm," and none of the brash bars of tracks like "Beez in the Trap." "Stupid Hoe" is mostly just annoying, with an unbearable beat and too many rehashed Lil Kim disses.

8. Skylar Grey f/ Eminem "C'mon Let Me Ride"

7. Cassidy "Condom Style"

Cassidy rapping about safe sex over the "Gangnam Style" beat. You know this song is going to be a mess within seconds, and once Cass starts encouraging risky lovers to "stroke 'em condom style," it doesn't disappoint.

6. Manufactured Superstars f/ Paris Hilton "Drunk Text"

Paris Hilton is not talented. The fact that her 2006 single "Stars Are Blind" is kinda good is cool, but clearly a fluke. There's no reason to anticipate quality music from her ever again. She slogs through "Drunk Text" with as little enthusiasm as possible, reaffirming to the world that her pop star ambitions are a bad idea.

5. LL Cool J "Ratchet"

4. Double Take "Hot Problems"

These girls are delusional, that's their fucking problem. And their singing is amongst the worst we've ever heard, they got a fucking problem.

3. Kreayshawn f/ 2 Chainz "Breakfast (Syrup)"

Not Available Interstitial

We wanted Kreayshawn to win more than anyone. We put her on the cover of Complex mere months after "Gucci Gucci" dropped, but the potential shown on that record wasn't met with her follow-up singles in 2012. "Breakfast" was particularly disappointing with its lazy puns and rhymes that even Kreay sounded bored to be rapping.

2. Gifted But Twisted "Six Pack"

Not Available Interstitial

This could have been a great joke, but the problem here is that Gifted But Twisted isn't trolling. Also, neither of them have a six pack. But beyond any of that, this song is objectively awful. The raps are terrible and a strong reminder that some people should stay the hell away from hip-hop.

1. John Boy & Shawty Boy "Drug Dat Hoe"

Not Available Interstitial

Yeah, this song sucks, but the worst part is that it promotes rape. "She fucked the whole team, we drugged that hoe." Gross. Get John Boy and Shawty Boy out of here.
