You're guaranteed to see EDM seep into multiple mainstream outlets in 2013, possibly deeper than ever before. You know how it goes, though, you've got to know where you've been to know where you're going, and when it comes to a dance music act bleeding into multiple facets of the media, it's the robot rocking duo known as Daft Punk who excels in this.

Their use of disguises was first to make the focus be on the music, and not the people making it, but their choice of helmets and garb ended up being just as iconic as the tracks they made in the studio. The French house dons have done everything, from scoring major Hollywood movies to appearing in Super Bowl ads. This isn't the complete picture of their commercial dominance, but let's see how many of these appearances and cameos you remember/knew of.

2007 saw Louis Vuitton asking Daft Punk to cook up a mix for their Spring/Summer 2008 fashion show. They primarily went in with a mix of their own tracks. We're not fashionistas, but anytime we can get Daft Punk putting their classic material in a mix, we're all aboard.

We hope you're all aware of Daft Punk scoring Tron: Legacy, the sequel to the classic Tron film. What's crazy is how much they were wanted for the score; Daft Punk first got hit up by director Joseph Kosinski in 2007, while they were still on tour. DP were obvious Tron fans, and took to a studio in London with an 85 piece orchestra to craft what ended up being the 24 tracks that comprised the score. They even had cameos within the movie, which you can see here:
