Master P f/ Chief Keef & Fat Trel "It Don't Make No Sense"

Master P decided to start 2013 off with a bang by releasing "It Don't Make No Sense." To help carry in his resurgence, Percy Miller brings along two of the rising trap stars in Chief Keef and Fat Trel. This beat begs for the sound of Keef's menacing and grimy lyrics which blends with P delivering a very strong verse. With songs like this, Master P will no issues making No Limit a force again in 2013.

Cities Aviv "Power Exchange"

Memphis’ Cities Aviv dropped one of his strongest tracks to date yesterday. On “Power Exchange,” the up-and-comer flexes his production muscles, crafting electronic influences into a funky R&B sample. Meanwhile he shows off his vocal chops with a simultaneously bold and laid-back flow. It’s still not clear what he has in store for the cut, but here’s hoping 2013 is a big year for Cities Aviv.

Roc Marciano "Bally Belts"

Roc Marciano stays busy. Even though he just dropped Reloaded in the latter part of 2012, he's revealed in various interviews that he has a handful of projects either completed or in the recording process. As such, it's no surprise that he's steadily dropping off loosies like "Bally Belts." It's also no surprise that this track goes hard as Marci spits venom at corny MCs.

The xx "Sunset (Jamie xx Edit)"

Jamie xx rang in the New Year this week with yet another xx remix. This time it was “Sunset,” one of the livelier cuts off last year’s Coexist. The London producer turned up every aspect of the track, the backing beat especially. The whole thing gets a new edge and a boost of energy missing from the entirety of Coexist.

Young Scooter f/ Gucci Mane "Work"

Young Scooter has been making waves for quite some time now, and that exposure should continue to rise with the release of his most recent mixtape Street Lottery. "Work" is a standout track on the project, as Scooter brings along Gucci Mane to help him count up. Gucci really steals the show with his verse on this as he reminds people why he is a legend in this trap rap music game.
