Just Blaze & Baauer "HIGHER"

Not Available Interstitial

"HIGHER" represents Just Blaze's latest excursion into the sounds of EDM and it finds him linking with buzzing producer Baauer. The two are kicking off a joint tour next week and chances are they'll light up venues with this Jay-Z-sampling banger. If his ad-libs sound familiar, there's a good reason for that: Hov and Just are longtime collaborators. There's a touch of one of their finest cuts, "U Don't Know," sprinkled in here, making it that much more engaging.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra "So Good at Being in Trouble"

Not Available Interstitial

Seattle's Unknown Mortal Orchestra continue to refine their sound, which blends modern sentiments with psychedelia and soul from the 1960s and '70s. Case in point: the latest single from their upcoming II album, "So Good at Being in Trouble." It's equal parts catchy vocals and ear-worm guitars, with a snare-heavy beat that gets trapped in your brain.

Nosaj Thing f/ Toro Y Moi "Try"

Not Available Interstitial

Los Angeles’ Nosaj Thing put together one of this week’s highlights with a little help from his fellow chillwaver Toro y Moi. On “Try,” Nosaj’s minimalist approach to electronic music comes together with Toro’s subdued vocals to produce one delicately crafted piece of music. The whole thing only makes us more excited for both of them to drop their new albums on Tuesday.

Joey Bada$$ "Unorthodox"

Say what you will about Mountain Dew, it got Joey Bada$$ and DJ Premier together for one of the best tracks in a week full of formidable competition. With “Unorthodox,” the latest Green Label Sound single, the Brooklyn wunderkind brings his fresh sound and the Houston production veteran brings his classic sensibilities. The end result is a thoughtful, expertly crafted work of lyricism and production alike.
