Last year, an interviewer captured A$AP Rocky spitting the first rap verse he ever wrote during an interview recorded.
eMusic mananging editor Jayson Greene interviewed A$AP Rocky back in May, prior to the original release date of Rocky's Long.Live.A$AP, which was finally released this week to strong initial sales. Although the album wouldn't surface for several months ("I could tell the album was a blurry prospect," states Greene, "from Rocky's vague answers"), Greene managed to get some insights on some of the rapper's earlier work.
After a quick discussion about DMX, his favorite rapper at age eight, Rocky raps his very first rhyme. You can follow along with the transcript here while listening to the interview here.
