Elliott Wilson is the latest to weigh in on the Hot 97 debate with the new episode of “The Truth.” In case you missed it, the Internet has been abuzz with folks questioning the limited amount of underground hip-hop on the New York station.

This morning we heard the station’s program director, Ebro Darden, defending the choice on “The Combat Jack Show” and now Wilson asks, “Does New York hip-hop get enough support from Hot 97?” While up-and-coming New Yorkers might not get primetime slots, he concludes, they still get plenty of airtime on shows specifically designed to showcase new artists. Hear what he has to say in the episode above.
