It's hard for any of us to really get over the death of Pro.Era member Capital STEEZ but this video may serve as great reminder of who we lost. In an interview with MTV, STEEZ talked about the Progressive Era dynamic and playing his part in it.
"I could relate to Chuck [Strangers] about being at the bottom of the totem pole," he said. "You put yourself in a mind state [where you] lower your expectations, something big is always gonna happen. And that's the mind state. I gotta keep reminding myself every day. That's how I kinda stay afloat."
STEEZ would go on to break down how the track "Vinyls" came about.
"Dessy was recording it, I was in the other room, and they were like, 'Yo STEEZ, lay a verse' and I did it," he said. "I just synchronized in, that's usually how it happens. I just stepped into place."
He would later take to the mic to spit an a cappella freestyle. Part of his freestyle comes directly from "Vinyls." Check out the video above and peep out Complex's tribute to the 19-year-old lyrical prodigy.
