In 2012, we got to watch as Champagne Papi grew his hair uncomfortably long, became attached to tinted transition-lens sunglasses, made No New Friends, and smoked many a hookah. He had many memorable tweets this year, but these two express his entire essence as an artist.

Not only did this tweet allow Bun B and Roseanne to cross paths, it introduced us to the surprisingly ratchet world of Roseanne's twitter. Baby girl gets very loose. This tweet also serves as a reminder of the fate of the word "trill" in the year 2012. R.I.P. "trill." You were a good word.

Flocka may have actually been the most consistently charming rapper on Twitter in 2012. From eagerly replying to his fans en masse with sassy yet well-meaning memes, to progressively declaring that he'd never judge his fans for their sexual orientations, to his heartbreaking expressions of grief after the death of his friend Slim Dunkin, you really couldn't follow him and not fall in love with his tender goofiness.

While I appreciate the surreal evocative qualities of this tweet on its own, you have to really "go there" for the full trippiness to take effect. Yes, that clearly mean, read some fan-fiction, I'm sweating, woo!

Riff Raff's Twitter presence is best known as the source of the by now beaten-to-death "rap game ____" meme, but every few weeks he tweets something so poignant and beautiful that it freezes me in my tracks. I'm confident enough to admit that I've quite literally cried due to the gravity of a handful of Jody Highroller tweets, this one in particular being the most gut-wrenching.

I mean, I've spent all year trying to solve the riddle of Jody's bizarrely intoxicating persona, and this tweet sums up the entire crux of it in less than 140 characters. It makes me want to cradle him to my bosom and tenderly dry his tears with a Versace Kleenex.

Chief Keef's Twitter isn't exactly a place for wholesome family entertainment. His Instagram's been shut down on at least three occasions due to obscenity, he threatened to bitch-slap Lupe Fiasco, and he's probably one of the most misogynistic users (although he's at the very top of the hashtag game).
