Band Or Solo Artist?: Both
Band Name(s): The Mamas & the Papas
Genre: Folk, Pop
Greatest Hit: "Monday, Monday" (1966)
Michelle Phillips gained fame through her career as a singer of The Mamas & The Papas, which she's currently the last surviving member of. The blonde beauty co-wrote some of the band's hits, including "Creeque Alley" and "California Dreamin'," and after the band broke up, she went on to pursue a solo singing career, as well as a brief acting career.
It's difficult to deny Phillips' free-spritied sex appeal in the '70s. She went on to marry five different men, including The Mamas & The Papas frontman John Phillips.
