Grace Slick was a lead singer for numerous rock groups in the early 1960s and had a successful solo career from the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s, but she's most iconic for her role in the '60s psychedelic rock movement, her lyrics and powerful vocals.
In the '70s, Slick struggled with alcoholism and drug abuse and went through numerous legal issues, including being on the FBI blacklist for conspiring to spike President Nixon's tea with LSD. Although she retired from the music business in 1988, she's still recognized as one of the greatest, and craziest, female artists of all time.
