3. Devon Wilson
Groupie of: Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones), Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones), Eric Clapton, Jim Morrison (The Doors), Duane Allman (The Allman Brothers)
She's most closely associated with Jimi Hendrix (his song "Dolly Dagger" is about her), but Devon got around with numerous stars and was considered one of the "supergroupies" of the era. She was a rarity as a black groupie, knew it, and worked it. In an interview in the June 1970 issue of the fashion 'zine Rags, she said she appealed to Mick Jagger because "he's into a heavy spade trip." Those were different times.
Just months after Jimi's death, Devon suffered a fatal fall out of a window (or perhaps off the roof) of the Chelsea Hotel.
